      Hi Everyone,

I’m planning on going to my first AOMCI meet at lake Philpott next week.  I know that area got hit pretty hard by Helene, so is the meet still going to happen?  I was thinking about bringing my boat, but if the lake is a mess, maybe I won’t.  Does anyone know about the status of the meet?  How about the lake–is it full of debris, or is it usable?

      Thank you!

The Events Page lists a contact for the meet.  If you don’t get a response here you could try that.

          Rob,

Meet is on. As of yesterday down 4′ from full pool.  There are reports of  debris.  Many are planning on bringing a boat, myself included.  Look forward to meeting you, it is a fun group.  Ed Elliott,  eddelliott@cox.net

            Hi Rob,

A few weeks ago Philpott was on the very low side.  So I would guess the recent rain was beneficial, & would help raise the level.   I’ll ask and see if someone can update/confirm the meet status on the “ask a member” section.  I’m planing attending.  A few of us will be there Friday too, to get in some extra time on the water and hopefully get some “work in progress” motors running.  If you want to, just click on the photo of the meet.  It will show an e-mail address for Guy – the meet organizer.  He should be able to provide you some info about the area and launch site availability. Hope to see you there.
