The tank on my late forties OK 20 is almost ready for its new decal but when I looked at it, I realized it was the wrong one! The size is correct but it says ‘Outboard Motors’ on it while the original had ‘Sea-Horse’ instead. It’s one piece with the S/O instructions on the ends like the original but the oiling instructions mention using the filler cap to measure the oil at 8:1 while I thought this motor wanted 12:1. It looks to be an earlier design and if it is I do have an OK 60 and 75 from the thirties it could possibly be used on. Any ideas what this decal is meant for?

      The new decal.

      The original.

I brought home a couple decals from the Tomahawk meet last week.
Only one of these decals has the text "Outboard Motors" instead of "Sea-Horse"
It is for the Johnson A model with the cast tank ( 1921-1923 )
Dixie ( the seller ) told me that this decal was also correct for the Johnson model OA-60
        and that is from 1932.
Need to say; It is not quite the same as yours and………
it is not the answer you need, but this is nothing more then share some info.
        🙂 🙂

I don’t think any early Johnson decals
have the Johnson in black like yours.
What I have seen the Johnson name
          was always in gold.

I think you are right, and Dixie did her homework very well about that color.

Any ideas which Johnson models or years had the black lettering?
