    The P-40 did not come standard with compression release,—it was an option. In the Johnsons Accessories catalog you will see a listing for accessory cylinders for A-35, K-40, KR-40, P-40 and PR-40. Underwater exhaust was also available as an option for those motors as well as the KL and PL long shaft versions.
