Bill, not sure if I’d consider it "backward" steering. Don’t you just shove the lever
in the direction you want to go? Maybe it’s just me thinking backwards again 😆

Decided to work on the Wisconsin first. I dissected some of it this afternoon, and so
far have not found anything that looks like a serial number. On the transom
mount there’s a casting number, something like L45-3.
So far I haven’t been able to get the delicate bronze prop off, but I have
not go the "heat" out yet.
Not sure how the drive shaft tube (or if) comes out of the gear case. Any one know?

Also, the thin brass skeg is long gone. Repairable?
