    I have had many years of trouble free running using a 6V 12AH rechargeable battery.
    With all the hours I have put on my battery ignition rowboat motors I can honestly say that
    I have never drained one down to the point of it not running the motor.
    I may charge it one or twice during the season for nothing more than reassurance.
