      Here is one…
      I have a Neptune twin,
      Wico coil 3040D
      tests good both sides
Condenser…. no numbers on this condenser
So not able to test as I do not know what it should be.
      Mag is a Wico P2934A
      Spec. FW1102
      Serial 043825

Any thoughts on what condenser I can use???

Year? Model? I think another make used that same coil and the cap was rated around .16-.18 uF. Not sure though.

Shows your magneto has an x2186 condenser.

          shows that X2186 condenser is .16 – .20

That first link has other outboard models too.

I can’t get those links to work here at work, but I do have a cap that fits that range…It is from a Neptune so that will be my back up..

            Thanks guys 🙂

Not sure which model or year as it is someone else’s motor. It was at our meet last weekend and he stated he had no spark and suspected the coil.
Offered to look it over, coil is like brand new, points were filthy, and the cap I have no clue as it had no identifiers.

So with this new knowledge, I will test that cap at the .16-.2 ish range and see if it is ok.

Did you test the condenser to see what capacity it measures?

Yes, got a reading of .21 mfd, but not knowing what the actual part number of the condenser was I had no way of knowing if it was right.

Now I do, so time to reinstall and test for spark this weekend.
