My $17.99 auction model 4447 Fleetwin finally made it home.
It has a busted tiller and grip bracket, and I purchased
hoping my 4443 parts engine parts would interchange.
At first glance, I "think" the parts will interchange, but
hard to tell until cleaned up and perhaps taken apart.

I still haven’t been able to find parts numbers / manuals
for either, to see what all parts interchange, so
if anyone has a digital parts manual for an Evinrude
      4443 or 4447, I’d appreciate it!

I’m not sure (from what’s left) of the tiller arm on the
4447 that it was even original…..looks kinda funky to me,
but it’s definitely different than the 4443.
      Thoughts?
      Thanks

Buc, it looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you. That tiller arm is a real mess! Here are a couple pictures of my project from last winter. The tiller arm on mine is missing the screw driver that screws in the end of the handle. I made an extension, it will work for now. The parts list has been posted several times on this site. Just do a search for fleetwin 7 1/2hp you should find it. A few of the parts are the same, head gasket and rings but most are different than the 54 and up 7 1/2’s motors. Impellers are expensive, I sanded a 5 1/2hp Impeller down and it works great. At least you bought it for a good price!

Here’s what I have on them. My 4443 has a ’52 lower unit.

Thank you both for the replies and information.
            While I haven’t actually found a 4447 manual
by searching, it appears that the 4434 and
the 7512 models show the same part number
for the carry handle, so one would assume
that the 4447 Fleetwin would the the
            same part number as well.
I’ll have to see if my parts motor has that
screwdriver in the handle.. neat little feature!
I’ll have to see which my motors has the
best compression, but it looks like I have
enough parts to make one good one now!
            Thanks!

Have anything besides the carry handle you are looking for? I have a manual and can scan some pages. This would presume that Garry won’t jump in here soon with exactly what you need.

Thanks Garry! As your diagrams cover "four" model years,
I should have luck switching parts as I have two
more Fleetwins from the same era.
Not sure what I’ll need or don’t have yet….. fun
                  has just begun!

be careful the low speed needle is a LEFT handed thread. Watch it when trying to adjust it. Stan scj616@aol.com

Stan, thanks for the tip on the low speed needle.
Is it left hand thread so it doesn’t vibrate "out"
                      in the boat? 😮
