Anybody know where I can get the rivet/screw for ID plates?

Postby Huntleybill » Thu Nov 30, 2017 10:49 pm

I need to re-mount the id plate on a Merc Mark 25E and need the screws/rivets used to secure it.
According to marineengine.com, the part number is 10-20314 - SCREW but are no longer available.
Where can I get these?

Thank you
Bill

Fastenal and others carry drive screws in a variety of sizes, if that's what you need.

You may want to shop around. Fastenal has the drive screws for less than 10 cents each. Actually, you may find them at a local fastener shop in your town for packages containing multiple screws for fixed prices per pack. Then you do not have to pay additional for shipping.

When I re-fasten mine, I either put a drop of loctite in the hole before inserting the drive screw, or go up one size to make sure that it is firmly attached.
