Last night in the shower I got an idea of how to pull up that alignment pin. (I do my best thinking in the shower) I decided to drill the side of the alignment pin in the aluminum enough to make a divot so I could pry the pin up a little, with a stout ice pick. Well it worked like a charm! I will put some JB weld or epoxy in the hole when I assemble. Drill spot is under the bushing so it should not hurt a thing.

That's what I like about this forum. You get 4 or 5 ways to do the same fix....and all you have to do is choose one.

I wonder why the Engineers even made it like that in the first place! Very annoying.

I'd look into replacing with a longer pin that can't be pushed in.
