    For the opposed twin motor, it’s all dull aluminum except for the tank, which is dark blue. I haven’t found a distributor for that blue, I’m pretty sure it’s darker than the teal blue used on the alternate twins.

    I used this stuff on a ’48 4425 Sportsman and it’s fairly close to original.

    in checking my model # 4371 for the 3.3hp evinrude the year showes it as a 1946 not a 1947 does this change the paint color to entire engine all dull silver ? thank you Tom for your reply. regards George

    No. Cast tank, opposed twin (spark plugs point forward, under the front cover) 4371 was as described above. If the tank is soft aluminum, it would be all silver.

    The T-41 is dull aluminum lacquer and a local auto supply (Lordco) carries it. The Plasti Kote brand shouldn’t be hard to find in your area.
