1958 Sea King 35 HP and 195? Sea King 3 HP Central Ohio

Postby Chip Chester » Mon Sep 04, 2017 1:25 pm

For Sale -- Pair of Sea King (Gale) outboards:
1958 35 HP Electric Start, tiller, with control box, cable, Gale dash panel, OEM throttle/gearshift control and (somewhat repaired) control cables.
All stored under roof all the time since new except when in use. All in very good condition, not restored or re-painted. (Control cables re-jacketed with adhesive-lined UV stable black heat-shrink.) Freshwater use only, in Ohio, Tennessee, Michigan and Canadian waters. StaBil gas treatment and cylinder fogging when stored 10-12 years ago, but will likely need the normal attention. Handful of extra maintenance-type parts included. (Last serviced by K. Baker on Stelzer Rd. in Columbus, who commented on how quiet and non-abused it sounded.)

195? 3 HP motor, integral tank. Good condition. Not original to my family, so don't know heritage. Same recent storage as above.

Would prefer them to go as a pair.

Location: Central Ohio
View at AOMCI meet in Delaware Ohio Sept. 10, 2017, or...
by appointment earlier, in my garage attic near downtown Columbus.

Update: 35HP long-shaft motor, complete system (electric box, throttle/shifter control, dash panel with Gale insert, ignition switch and choke) all sold to a young guy looking for that very setup.

3HP motor, Airguide 1030 6k tach (surface or recessed mount, never installed) still available.
