I don’t have, nor am in the market for a 40’s era Mate. My question is, “How many people would sell their Mates and how many are looking for Mates? Just curious as to the supply and demand situation. Thanks,
    Gary

Pretty good supply. Even larger demand.
Parts are difficult to get because most
that have an incomplete motor are looking
for the parts they need and don’t want to
part out their motor. I had one a
a show and a fellow asked me what I
thought they were worth. I said it is
difficult to say. I’ve seen nice complete
motors sell for $500.00 and $600.00 but
its not that uncommon to see them sell
for as much as $900.00 and sometimes
even more. He says to me-
"Will you sell yours for $900.00?"
I still have it. I would have made a nice
profit but I’d rather have the motor.
