    Federals were made in Newark, NJ in 1914 and 1915, with home office in Washington DC. I think they only made a 3 HP. I’ve only seen photos.

    It was one of the first to have a hinge for tilting up on the transom, but what was really unique was no tiller, instead there were two cords that had handles you pulled on to steer and with more cord you could steer from the middle or bow seats.
