What is the correct spark plug for the old Evinrude RBM? Seems I have an AC73…like to switch to a Champion…my charts don’t go back that far….thanks, Gary

A Champion C-4 is a nice original looking plug and runs very well in my motors. That plug has the 7/8 " thread. This plug is pretty common as it is the spark plug use in Model A Fords. Available e-bay of Snyder’s antique Ford parts.

I use any of the following for my 1914
          AC 75 COM
          Champion W14

And whatever else uses 7/8 threads
I think depending on the year it matters as the old ancient ones used pipe threads, 1910 thru 12 I think used pipe threads..

The W14 will work… not period correct but will run, use the same in my Caille Liberty Twin.

          Regards

          Richard

specified plug is a Champion 0 (as in "zero")

Most common plug is Champion 0 COM. Easy to find. No reason to use anything other than the proper plug for it.

If you want modern equivalent in an Autolite, they can be bought over the counter, ask for the 3076.

              Hope this helps.

                  I will 2nd Chris’s recommendation. ( 0 COM. )
However I have used others with sucess.
To Richard’s point it would depend on the year.

                  Respectfully

check at club meets, try advertising for one, etc etc.

The Autolites sell for about 4 bucks, they usually sell them at tractor shows or hit-and-miss engine exhibits too.

                    hope this helps.

Thanks PM T2, I followed the link and made a purchase…I think the motor will look better with a Champion plug….I never cared for AC or Auto-lite…
