I repainted a’76 Johnson 6hp. It had a bit of gold in the paint,i used the BRP Evinrude/Johnson spray paint. You MUST shake the can for way longer than the 1 minute the cans instructions say. Turn it upside down and shake for an additional minute,or till your arm is sore, whichever comes first. There is a product service bulletin about the need to shake it a lot more after complaints about the color match.
