I made me a lower unit pressure tester this morning.
Hopefully I didn’t infringed upon one of your patents. 😮
Hooked it up to the subject motor and gave it a few pumps
and heard air leaking right away. Some soap suds confirmed
it was the shift rod seal.
The LU oil I drained out was fresh as a new picked daisy,
but the PO probably changed it before it was laid up.
No clue of how many years since it was run.
