I just pulled the bottom carbon seal and noted about
the same amount of side play on the crank there,
as the top. Not sure if OMC has a spec for side clearance,
and not sure how I’d measure it anyway.
I do have a mickey mouse magnetic base
and gauge for measuring "things", but
the aluminum block and magnets are no fun.

Also, when I removed the lower carbon seal assembly,
I see no large o-ring as the parts diagram shows.
Only the one in the carbon seal.
And I don’t see where it would go, unless it’s
around the needle bearing and must be crankcase must
be opened to see it???

The good news, I pulled the intake port covers,
no scoring on the pistons, and all the rings are free.
I can see one exhaust port via the bottom of the
motor, and the piston looks good there as well.

Prepare to be boarded!
