Said outboard is now in my garage, for better or worse.
Seller say's he got it from another guy on trade for something,
it had a vibration, the guy took it to a mechanic, and
he said that it might be a bad bushing or something,
and alluded that "like maybe on a rod or something".
Previously said that he didn't "think" it knocked, but
I'm guessing that he never had it running. He threw a
gas tank in on the deal, albeit it a single line tank,
that's not going to work to good on this motor.
Anyway, What Frank said about the wrist pins is
probably the problem. Not going to tear into it
until the Elto Speedster is further along, but will check
the basics, spark, compression, and maybe try to start it up.
All in all, for $40, it doesn't look too bad.
I'm guessing the kill switch button is an add on.
Anything else look funky for 1959?
