How do put images on this? I have this water jet outboard I would like to get some information on. I have looked all over and can’t find anything.
      Thanks, Paul

You need to go to a hosting website and upload your pictures there. I use imgur.com although others like to use photobucket.com
Does it look like this one? http://imgur.com/a/Sq21C
It was my grandfather’s and Dad and I are working on restoring it.

Had one of the cal jet types motors running a few years ago. Disappointing. I was real happy when I got my 40 dollars back out. Experience only cost me an afternoon of time , fuel line and plug. The bottom casting must have been available to a couple different manufacturers and that impeller must be some standard off the shelf unit (?) cause I see them on different engines.

Novelty wise they are cool but even the huge benefit of not needing a 90 degree gear box (expense and power robbing) is not enough to make them useful. First trip thru the weeds will determine your love or hate.

I can almost guarantee that a lot of the lack is the serious inefficiencies in the lower unit of the outboards. You can just look at how the inlet, compressor, and outlet are designed and see improvements available.
I would bet that I could find some fellow students that could design a better compressor wheel and reroute the inlet and outlet to increase efficiency. Honestly, I hope to get to the point where I can do so myself.
