Have an old Johnson parts motor – missing bottom of crankcase and one cylinder head as a starter. But
have trouble identifying the motor. It is an opposed cylinder rope start. The ropestart on top of the flywheel
has Johnson Motor Co and an outline of a seahorse but no model or serial number. In checking photos of other old
Johnsons, the lower unit is very similar to an A-25. On the back of the carburetor, under Johnson Motor Co., it says Model 0. I have photos but have been unable to upload to this topic. Give me your email address and I will email photos.

Check for other location of serial number under the crankcase. It is stamped between
crankcase and one of the cylinder end.

It might be an A or A-25 if it has the brace on front of the gearcase. The only other opposed twin with the brace is the later F-70 I believe.
