      I think I know now why so many lower cowls are missing on this model. Its very time consuming to remove and replace it. You need to remove the flywheel then loosen 6 bolts for tank. You need to work inside magneto hole for bolts. Then if you put it all together before you install spark advance handle . You may need to loosen tank again. After going to all that trouble they were just thrown away.
      On another subject how does the water pump work on the model, mine is working but just wonder.

        Water pump is a piston pump actuated by a cam on the prop shaft if I recall correctly. Don’t overfill the gear case with grease or you risk grease squeezing up and fouling the pump.
