      Good afternoon,

I am a new member to the AOMCI, I have just discovered that I have an interest in working on vintage outboard motors. I would like to ask the group if anyone would have access to or could point me in the direction of acquiring an owners manual and or a parts manual for my newly acquired Johnson TD-20?

      Thank you!

      Chad

Johnson Factory service Manual 10th Edition.

pochefamily.org/outboard.  But note that the ad shown there for my new leather primer seals and installation instructions for  $8.00 is about 15 years old. I had to raise the price to $10.00 about 5 years ago.

Hello Chad and welcome to the club! You’ve come to the right place to get information or help with your motor(s).

Is that a ’55 ‘Whispering Power’ 7.5 horse Fleetwin in your avatar? I have an idea you have some more motors besides the TD-20.

Anyhoo, you asked and you shall receive so here’s the TD-20 parts manual and a fairly good service manual to download for the same motor. Enjoy!

Thank you everyone, your help was so fast… and so helpful!

              Mumbles, yes I do have other vintage outboard motors. In addition to the TD-20 I have a ’55 Evinrude 7.5hp, a ’55 Johnson QD-16, two 1947 Evinrude Sportsmans (#4416), and a 1960 Evinrude Lightwing 3hp (#3034).

I have been messing with a few of these
carb’s recently. Getting out the brass
sleeve to replace the seals that Lloyd
provides can be as simple as it just sliding
right out. But they can also be stuck. This
has worked for me “most” every time.

Tubs, I like the “expansion” puller idea. Will have to try it if I ”
ever work on one of those again. Seems like I ran a tap into
the brass sleeve before to pull it out, but of course there’s
                  slight damage.

                  Prepare to be boarded!

Wish I had seen this video a couple of weeks ago.
