      Hello all,

      Somehow I lost part# 67 on the attached drawing. Part# 303696.

It’s the pin that puts tension on the collar plate and spacer when the collar screw is tightened.

Does anyone have a parts motor that they would be willing to part with this pin?

Or, some really good measurements and I can hack up an aluminum bolt into a correct sized pin? Nope, no lathe. Just a grinding wheel, some hand files and a sincere desire to succeed! Lol.

Thx in advance if anyone can help. Hit me up with your price and I’ll send you my info and $$.

      Thx

      Best Regards

You are mistaken, that is not its purpose.  It simply keeps the liner from rotating when steering back and forth.  Any ol’ pin, rivet, screw, whatever, will do.

            Ok – Thanks –

So the small end of the pin fits into the recessed hole opposite the tiny ‘tit’ hole?

The drawing led me to a different conclusion, (and the fact that I never even laid eyes on the dang thing, for all I know it was never even there…).

            Thanks !

Yeah, I recon.  The pin head will be in the hole in the split of the liner.  The other hole in the liner will align with the “tit” hole (grease / zerk fitting) to allow grease to pass through to the pivot pin.  Interesting description, tit.

Yea, I’m gonna take a stab at it tomorrow. Now that I have the info from Frank it shouldn’t be too hard to make up something that works.

Amazing what happens when you do the chores. In the kitchen this morning, which is where I did a little de-greasing of parts the other day, when I needed to run the garbage disposal (for the 4th or 5th time since I lost this pin). Heard a little clanking and found the pin! Note: I had already checked a few times, but I guess it was hiding and since it is aluminum my magnet did not pick it up.

So, here it is. I have already cleaned it up a bit and taken the roughest edges off of it, so it should be good. I did order one that SeaKaye found for me on Ebay, so I’ll probably wait for that one and keep this one as my spare. Worried that if my edges are still too rough I might mess up the piece that this holds in place.

Pics are junk, sorry. I don’t know how to delete and start over. No biggie.

                    Just an update.

                    Thanks to all

In the garbage disposal in kitchen??!!?  Wow, If I did that, I wouldn’t even have a kitchen anymore after the divorce.
