took apart lower unit to check impeller, somehow can’t figure out how the clutch lever contacts driver to put in or take out of drive, wonder if i broke off a tab? Help!!!

what i’m having a hard time understanding is when you pull the lever up the throw into neutral the clutch lever in the lower unit moves down towards the prop. i’ve been looking at this so long maybe i need to step back from it lol
