I have a Lauson Sport King Single cylinder that followed me home and I need some direction/suggestions. First off, I cant find a model number anywhere. I have a serial number that was stamped in the rear cowl, or it might be a part number for the cowl . That number is 7082977. I found other numbers on the castings and they were prefixed by an OB. So I think those are part numbers for the pieces. The carb has OB202 and the bowl cover has OB203-1. Has to be a Lauson carb. Looks a little like a Tillotson carb. Either way I think I will be making my own gaskets. The mounting flange on the carb has a nice bend in it. Looks like someone used a 1/2 inch impact driver to tighten the carb to the block. I would like to straighten it out but I would run the risk of destroying the carb. so I may be going with 2 or 3 mounting gaskets to fill the gap along with some sealer. My Questions: Can anyone Identify this motor? Horse power? Filling the oil. I’m guessing that I wound fill it till it hits the bottom of the filler hole? And corn head grease for the gear case? Thanks in advance , Matt.
