hello aomci, i have old johnson engine but cannot find the year. Please help.. anyway i am from Brunei Darussalam

Yes Rick, I believe you are correct. Usually, the commercial models did not conform to the “introduces” model year code. I’m thinking it is a commercial 6.5hp. They always rounded up on the horsepower which would explain the “7” in the model code. Post more pictures of the complete engine for a better analysis. It can be tough to find the parts books for the commercial models, will look on marineengine.com again….
