your motor MIGHT be a 1987 model ,not sure of this . could you clean up the model and ser# number
tag so we can read the numbers better.

I looked on iBoats and according to their website, this is a 1987 Commercial 7 horsepower.

Yes Rick, I believe you are correct. Usually, the commercial models did not conform to the “introduces” model year code. I’m thinking it is a commercial 6.5hp. They always rounded up on the horsepower which would explain the “7” in the model code. Post more pictures of the complete engine for a better analysis. It can be tough to find the parts books for the commercial models, will look on marineengine.com again….
