Any assistance would be great in helping to identify the exact year and model of this Wisconsin row-boat motor. I am posting this for my Dad who is not good on a computer. We both collect engines and older cars and boat items but this one has us both a little stumped. There isn’t much  information about this one out there. He bought this Wisconsin pretty much as it appears in the photos. He wanted me to be sure to mention that he did not paint the lettering himself I guess because it was not the best job, and also this does not have a magneto and there are several rudder styles it came with. The one that is has on it can be swapped for another that came with it that is much larger. It is hard to tell the year but I think maybe early 1914? But it thought 1914 was the year that the magnetos starting showing up. It also has items from both a model J and a model L. Again it’s a mystery to us. My Dad at one time sold this motor and then had a change of heart and traveled half way across the county to go track it down and buy it back. It’s been in his shop for many years and now he is trying to do more research. We greatly appreciate any help, information or additional suggestions if someone notices something that is not correct about it. We are grateful for any help.

Do a search for “Jack Craib’s rowboat motor information site” and view the examples he has there. Having the extra parts makes it a good possibility that your example has other substitutions as well. Still wouldn’t kick it off the back of the boat if it was mine.     Tubs
