      just got it today….Love  that front cover page !   I wish my grandkids  (14 & 19) wouldn’t mind greasy fingers and show some interest in mecanical things other than buttons!.

        Yes!  Folks here who have children or grandchildren or relatives who take to and enjoy this hobby don’t know how fortunate they are.  It doesn’t happen very often.

          My two grandsons never showed interest in outboards, even after building a hydroplane with one of them.  I’m thinkin’ if I start my 7 year old granddaughter driving a small motor on a 14′ fishing boat, and then move her to the hydroplane, starting her out with a 5 or 6 HP on it (which will plane it) and moving up in HP as she gets the hang  of it – maybe I can get some interest.  She is an active kid and likes things that move fast!….so maybe??!!
