    1. Hoping someone might know the modern day equivalent condenser and spark plug for a ’39 Waterwitch? I got this thing looking pretty but it sure would be nice if I could get it to fire. It has a very weak intermittent spark.

      This is the one I use. Champion d 16 spark plug. If you have the 4.75 hp. twin, those coils are often bad. Tubs

        Also, make sure the points are clean and properly set.

          When in doubt about capacitor size  one can always refer to Mr.Mohat ” capacitor”  articles  & the subject of sizing  capacitors

          Magazine Articles | Western Reserve Chapter

          Motors 1930s and 1940s (Steel Magnets, typically 2 pole / 3 pole construction, “medium” size
          spark coils)….use a .3 to .47uF condenser.

          Motors 1930s and 1940s, (Alnico Magnets, 2 pole / 3 pole construction, smaller size spark
          coils)….use a .22 to .47uF condenser.

          It’s the 2.5hp with torpedo tanks.
