      believe it or not, I bent the big screw that is part of my flywheel puller. some of these damn flywheels are so tight I guess it was bound to happen eventually. I have probably used it 50 or 60 times, but I thought it should last a lifetime.

      anybody know where I can buy a new one? doesn’t look like something you can just pick up at any hardware store.

          get a grade 8 bolt grind a point and work with that.

            What you need is a larger diameter with a fine thread. This applies more force with the same amount of torque so it’s easier to get the flywheel to pop. Those square threads are really coarse so the torque needs to be really high.

                I agree wedgie, my OEM puller is one of my favourite tools I have ever bought!

                    It is an OMC puller. I got it from Crowley Marine a while back. Can’t remember exactly how much, but they had the best price at that time.
