      In going through the magneto for my FD-11, I installed a new oiler wick in the oiler wick holder. What kind of oil do i need to drip it onto it? Assuming pretty much anything will work? How much? A few small drops onto a new wick or should I really soak it?

        Frankly , I use grease or bees wax. impregnate it with one of these. Just Me.

          Arch the 1 cap lead, remember vibration & yes Dave is correct, bees wax is the best. Look at from a real spinning cam & the points wiper wear. Have you checked the spring on the points? Extra wear on the points & must be calibrated.

            The new ones that come with a set of points come pre lubed. If I re use one, a tiny drop of 3 in 1 oil is what I have used. But may change to bees wax now.

              The ground lead on that one coil is going to rub through on the flywheel hub. Maybe the other one also. Bend them back against the coils.

                You need a VERY light oil, like 3 in 1, or sewing machine oil. Never tried bees wax, but I will try it. With the 3 in 1, or sewing machine oil, just a light drop! Do not soak it. You will foul the points.
