Keep in mind that motor looks late enough model to be a Merc-O-Sil block design. That means it still can be bored but may need to be sleeved for repair. That is a much more expensive proposition. I like the weight and power of this engine, but it can be very expensive to repair an overheat or run without oil situation. Once the motor has been sleeved it becomes a more conventional motor. Sleeving is better done by someone who has done many of them. Very thin cast block!
