This is a 4 day meet – July 30, 31, August 1, 2. We use the hockey arena to set up outboard motors & boats for display and judging by AOMCI members. The swap area is an old air strip & soccer field. The city of Tomahawk is responsible for camping & vending spaces that you can rent from them at 715-453-4040. Over 100 camping & vending sites are available. Quite a few are spoken for already, but there is plenty of room for everybody. There are no hookups. The arena bathrooms, which include showers, will be available to campers. You can set up your spot at the event NO SOONER THAN MONDAY JULY 30 AT 10 A.M. We also supply a number of port-a-potties for everyone’s convenience. The meet cost will be $10 that covers ALL 4 DAYS. We have judging in 13 divisions & 6 on-water events, consisting of: stock & mod Zephyr, stock Merc KF5/Mark 5, any 5-1/2 1959 or older motor, predicted log and a blind folded event for which the Northwoods Chapter provides the boat & motor. The stock Zephyr Merc KF5/Mark 5 & the 1959 & 5-1/2 HP or older events require a 12 ft. factory boat or larger. Mod Zephyr motors have to be Zephyr-based with any boat. Predicted log can be run with any boat & motor.
Registration opens every morning at 8:00 AM with coffee & bakery. The arena is open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on July 30, 31 & August 1 and 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on August 2, followed by a members-only banquet and awards presentation starting at 6:00 PM in the banquet hall in the arena.
We are featuring Elgin, Muncie and Neptune motors and boats made in Wisconsin.
