Lake Wallenpaupack, PA “The Annual Bill Fischer Memorial Meet” The Fischer family, my brother Jeff, and I will again be hosting this early spring “Wet Swap Meet”. Northeast AOMCI members have always enjoyed this meet each spring, as a time to get together with fellow collectors for a day on the water. Because this has always been one of the first wet meets of the year, there is always plenty of pent-up enthusiasm to test all those recently completed winter projects. An active swap of motors and parts is also found here each year. Bill’s Family will again be in attendance to help us prepare and serve up the food and play an active part of the day. A $7 donation helps to cover the cost of coffee, snacks, and a hot lunch. A test tank will also be available for the “How Slow Will It Turn” Competition. All Antique or Vintage motors must be 7.5 HP or less. Lowest RPM wins! Meet Location: Ledgedale Recreational Area 263 Ledgedale Road, Greentown PA 18426. For Additional Meet Information: contact Greg Ellsworth at gmellsworth@milnescompanies.com
Cell: 570-665-1252
The meet will be held at the boat launch area at White Water Lake.
When you get to the park go to the left and we will be in the parking lot at the launch area.
This is a meet for those that like to run their motors on a scenic mid size lake. There are a couple of docks available and plenty of shoreline to pull up on to switch up motors etc. The pavilion at the park has flush toilets available just short walk from the launch. Coffee and Tim bits will be available dockside and a BBQ lunch will be held at my RV site in the park. The launch is on a bay that is perfect for running smaller motors and the large part of the lake is great for running just about anything else, the adventurous can run up Levy Creek all the way to Moore lake which takes about an hour or so each way. Nearby is the Valley inn if you want to come up early and stay for the weekend https://www.valleyinnsudbury.com/
Or you can book a campsite in the park and enjoy the camping experience, electrical and water connections are available on most sites https://www.greatersudbury.ca/play/campgrounds-and-trailer-parks/whitewater-lake-trailer-park/
If you choose to stay the weekend I have a seasonal site at the park so come on Friday (or earlier) and depart Sunday campfires are a great way to end the boating day!
