So I spent a little time examining tiller yokes & mounting brackets on the Ruddertwins I have. My 1924 and 1925 Model C’s have the same mounting
Bracket as the one on Tub’s motor. Also looked at the other models I have and none of them have the same mounting bracket as Wayne’s motor.
Weird for sure. So I have no answer for that one.

My son came through for me. It wasn’t as bad as he thought with no volcanoes of dirt popping up. I’m not sure of year or model but it has 4 holes and a hollow rudder.

It looks great, slim. I can’t tell where it was welded. Usually cast aluminium welds ok.

I sandcasted a new mounting bracket on the weekend. I removed 1/2" from my incorrect bracket and soldered it back together. I used aluminium instead of bronze because I didn’t want to nickel plate it. Can someone please tell me how many exhaust relief holes should be in the bracket or post a photo of one that shows the holes? Thanks.

Never mind. I see Tub’s posted a photo at the bottom of page one.

Thanks, Richard. I was disappointed that the casting didn’t turn out as good as usual so I’m pleased that you like it. It fits perfectly. I’m happy with this solution.

Thanks, Chris. The foundry is awesome. Its great being able to make or reproduce your own parts. What is the diameter of the prop on your Ruddertwin? Mine is 9" and sometimes hits the rudder. Nevermind. I got it sorted out.

The resurrection of the Ruddertwin is almost complete. I’m missing three parts. I am on the hunt to find them. If I can’t find them I will try to make them. One piece is the exhaust cut-out mechanism. I have some photos of the outside. Does anyone have a photo of the inside of the mechanism? I don’t know what it should look like.

Thanks for all the help so far. Here is where all your help has gotten me. Sorry if the incorrect colour offends anyone.
