I made some progress on the muffler. Got some copper for the inside tube. Notice the holes are not in a straight line. That is for greater high speed performance!

I will take any advantage I can get.
On a different note, the tank has some body filler on it after stripping the paint. A couple areas are pretty decent dents, so I am going to leave it for now and put a better paint job on it in hopes that someday I may find a better tank, or get properly motivated to fix this one.( I need more practice at dent removal)

March 11, 2024 at 7:48 pm #285822Tonight I put the crankcase back together and put the newly painted cylinders over the pistons…….TWICE!
I had the wrong piston in the wrong hole and things wouldn’t go all the way around. At least I discovered my error before I went any further!

March 11, 2024 at 10:28 pm #285834It’s looking really nice Dave.
Did you paint the jugs or just clean them up? They look good.
I just picked up a A-35 parts motor. I haven’t even tested the coil yet.

March 12, 2024 at 7:57 am #285844The cylinders did look good with just some paint stripper and a wire brush. I almost left them as is, but chose to paint.
