Original part # 171260 NLA. I have dropped the skeg to have it repaired and would like to replace this grommet when I reassemble. Not sure if the old one was the original or a replacement. It is sloppy in the housing and just seems to float in the hole. I’ll have my son make one with his 3D printer. It appears not to fill the hole depth wise as it would block the port on the bottom side. I assume it should fit snug on the pipe and snug in the hole. Other than height any advice to help a lot of trail and error?

You’re missing this ring, What you have is very close to, and may be an original grommet.  It may fit if you weren’t missing the ring. If you can find a larger 1/4″ grommet that will fit relatively tight in the LU it should work fine.   Tubs

To make one cut the head off a long 1/4″ bolt. With the grommet on the bolt you can spin it in a drill and using a file or sanding block to size the grommet to fit. You need the shoulder so the grommet doesn’t go so deep it blocks the hole. As long as the grommet fits tight to the tube it wont go anywhere. Buy a couple as it may take a few tries to get it just right. It does me anyway. Tubs
