      Hello,

I’m restoring my 1940 Elto Ace and want to make sure I get it right. Does anybody have a picture of how the original decals were placed? Also looking to confirm, 1.) that it would have come out of the factory with the instruction decals on top of the gas tank 2.) the gas cap is red and the fuel vent polished aluminum.

      Thanks!

I have taken to the practice of photo documenting motors when I get them in for a cosmetic restoration. Good quality detailed shots of the decals, and some way to ensure I get them in the same location helps out loads. You could also search the web for pictures of said motor and see what it shows..

              Hello,

Thanks for the picture but it says I don’t have the required permission to view the files attached to your post so I can’t see the pic. Any Ideas?
