I don’t know much about this motor. I replaced the spark plugs. The carburetor seems to be leaking gas so I replaced the gaskets but it still leaks. I’m wondering if the whole carburetor should be replaced? Any information would be greatly appreciated! This is my first outboard motor and I think I maybe bit off a little more than I can chew 🤣

The float pin has a taper on the bottom side which stops the gas flow
as the cork rises and seats the pin in the seat.
The pin and / or seat may need attention. Some times all it takes is
a little valve lapping compound on the taper as you spin the float pin
in the seat, to get rid of grooves in the pin.

Prepare to be boarded!
