The speeditwin is coming together slowly. MIne had a cut off gunmetal style muffler tube; the replacement brass version I got is ready to be slotted in, but I noticed that the exhaust muffler wouldn’t align with the bottom studs on the cylinders when fitting the tube flush in the LU (on the two ali tangs) and flush into the fitting in the exhaust muffler (with the muffler tube set screw in position). Is there a method to fitting it all together, or is the tube perhaps a slightly different length according to model year? I was about to file the excess metal away, but stopped.
