Does anyone have a parts breakdown for the “topic” motor. I specifically am looking for the lower unit. I need to order the impeller, and all the seals.

      Thank you

      Bill

Oil seal is industry standard 4923  Slotted brass plug in water pump casting usually can not be removed and attempts to do so will damage the plug or the casting. The screws and lock washers used to fahen water pump to gear case are special and other standard screws and lock washers will not fit. The Little Mercs are fun to work on with or without documentation. The total parts count is not an overwhelming number and you can work on one subsection at a time. Good  Luck

Photos can tell the story better AND also raise a few questions. The 3 slit water pump evolved from prior Oscillator type pumps into a Vane type pump. Some parts shared some parts not shared. All will work on any model or year so long as the gear set is correct for single or twin. Factory offered a kit to convert all models to Vane typpe water pump, Note that some models did not have the rubber element clutch and some owners converted to sheer pin. Drive shaft has extra hole to allow for either.
