Ok I figured out if you try to disassemble the plug, you will wind up with 7 pins that can possibly be reused. I had a plug that was in much worse shape and decided to see what would happen. It’s the harness that goes from solenoid to side of motor. Gonna see if I can kinda sorta reuse the pins to make a makeshift plug we will see

Is there a diagram that shows an end view of the plug to outside of motor and wire designations? The diagram Frank sent shows the pins all in a line. I think I rebuilt everything under the cowl and can make it work, but I used green wire so kinda lost the color code

Well, if one of the small leads/plug connections is damaged, how about just using one of the unused generator leads instead.  Then reconnect it in the junction box

Well I took advice and cut the I side harness as close to the plug as I could and spliced together. Did the same with the outside plug. Put in a new solenoid and it’s turning over like it should. Sprayed some kroil oil in the cylinders and turned over a few times. Maybe tomorrow I’ll pull the flywheel and check the coils and points hopefully have it running for a test run before long
