I have a very nice , clean , tall pressure tank that is empty . When I push on the primer button , which goes up & down with good spring rebound . I do not feel any air pressure coming from the open air or fuel discharge .( I have no hose on tank fittings) does the tank have to have fuel in it in order to prim . I have rebuilt several mid 50 tanks with good success .Any tips on the tall tank would be appreciated .
      Thanks Kevin

You will need fuel in the tank to pump. The tall tanks are very easy to work with if you have done others. The fuel gauge is different but works well. Diaphram can be made easily if needed.

Great diagram , a picture is worth a 1000 words . It even shows the horseshoe magnet that actuates the fuel gauge .
              Thanks Kevin
