My uncle is working on his Mercury Super 5, and we’re looking
for parts numbers. Is there any parts diagrams, lists, etc.,
specific to this model, so he might figure out
numbers for lower unit seals, bearings, impeller, etc.?
      Thanks, Buccaneer

I have just the guy to help you with parts. His name is Joe Poole & has been in business for 51 years. Tell him Jeff Register sent you. Very nice guy & had everything I needed for my KF5 build. He has the rings too. Mine was so trashed I needed to split the cases to get waterflow again. Both coils are new & had the wrong lablnations too. The magneto plate had two stripped out threads so it was replaced as will. Lowerunit had a good skeg, bad seals, impeller, housing shims & more.
JOE POOL helped me with everything. The 1949 had a different sized impeller housing, o-ring & square aluminum shim behind the impeller & housing.
Joe had it down for every part including the cooling upgrades as well. Pull up his site & give him a ring!! I have a special way to install the rings if you get into them & they are not staggered either
                Jeff
