looking at replacing waterpump impeller,, have taken off spring clip now how does plate come off is it screwed on or just pull off,, thank you for any info,,,,
August 29, 2019 at 9:23 am #182258When new, the plate would fall out. Now, it may take considerable persuasion. With plenty of WD-40 and gentle prying with a small screwdriver tip at the alignment slot, I have managed to loosen several.

August 30, 2019 at 9:58 am #182303I often need to use this process: I remove the entire pump and shaft unit by removing the 2 screws. Then with no drive pin thru the shaft, I slide the shaft back so I can insert a pin thru the impeller driver and the outer hole of the shaft. Then tap on the shaft as a puller to remove the cover.
