You will also need the 203118 lower clutch rod to go with your 1952 clutch lever. That will give you the positive pull up to release the clutch drive spring. I used a long threaded rod to screw into the clutch lever support collar, Makes it easy to remove it. It will also help you align the collar with the housing and the gear housing cap and seal assembly when putting it back together. . . 😉

I have one of these (1952 Fleetwin) that won’t disengage. I can’t wait to figure out what’s wrong with that one. 🙄 The diagrams and explanations sure will be helpful though.

I just disassembled the gear case and there isn’t any sign of the spring for clutch lever. This must allow the clutch lever to stay in contact with clutch spring and stay in neutral. Someone has been in gear case because the snap ring is broken. Whats the lever spring look like you can’t tell from parts list. The picture posted is for a 1952 which is different. I bought a snap ring and clutch lever assembly but can’t use its for a 1952, but the snap ring should fit.

With the advice from you guys I pulled a light coil spring apart and made one the fit the Fleetwin. To my surprise it now works fine. Thanks
