Any advice on changing the impeller on a 1951 Scott Atwater 16hp?

I’ve done them, but it has been ages ago. Edit:  I don’t know how that Evinrude got in there.  Click  on the thumbnail for the Scott picture (I hope)

Starting on page 390 in the
          scott_atwater_service_manual_complete.pdf
manual, goes into the 16 hp lower unit, water pump, etc.

Warning, if you can find it, it’s a 159 mb file.

          Prepare to be boarded!

Thanks for the pdf info. Is it challenging to drop the lower unit? I have an impeller from the “Scott Guy” in my shop. We haven’t run the engine since the early 80’s when it over heated.

Scott….If you want I can send you the Scott Atwater Service Manual via WeTransfer.  I would need your e-mail address.  You can post it here or (preferably) get it to me in a PM.

Thank you for the offer. I do have an electronic copy I purchased (see attached 1st page). I’m looking for a little guidance beyond the schematics. For example, how do I release the shift and any other linkages to get the lower unit to drop down. Are there potential problems to watch out for? manual
