18’s are a good all around motor on a light boat. There is a noticeable difference in speed and power though between them and the 15’s. Not much, just a bit.

Got this one for free. electric start even had a tank. needed coils only even the impellor was good.

Wow, great price on that one Dave. Nice looking cover and emblems besides! I love the 18s. Mumbles the ’57 and ’59 seem to be the smoothest and maybe a little faster than the ’65? I couldn’t make out the speed on the GPS.

They probably were as I was trying different props on the ’65 that day and might have had a doggy one on when I did the video. The $25 flea market ’57 Fastwin is a screamer. I can’t wait to try it out again next summer! The previous owner of the ’59 Electric used to ski behind it when the motor was new, on that very same lake!
