Need some insight, lauson mod#S351 52 3hp. Would like some guidance on maintenance, parts acquisition etc. Any literature greatly appreciated!

What Grade oil to use in crankcase and what spark plugs? Are there carb kits available Tillotson MT6A?

So I see the manual says SAE 30 oil, but doesnt say how much oil to add? What is the capacity of this engine, do i fill it up to the bottom of the threads on the fill plug?

Yes, up to the fill plug. That would be about 20 ounces. The spark plug would be a Champion J8J or J8C. Plug gap is 0.030″ and points are 0.020″. Use a non detergent oil. Check that manual on how to set the timing. As the points wear on these the timing changes.

The later heads on these are 8 bolts. The older motors are 6 bolts. Something to think about when you find a supply of these head gaskets. Have always reused the old head gasket.
