I hope to initiate my ’53 Fleetwin before the end of summer. I’ve had it for years and never got it wet except in a barell.

Wedgie, mines not quite that crisp but if I find some decals she’ll be getting a new paint job this winter when I tear it down

Ya’ know, it seems like WillG had one of these on his older aluminum boat and had a video of it running and it looked like it was getting with the program pretty good. Maybe PM him and ask him to verify? Will is not a small guy either.
Edit – Found it and it looks pretty quick for what it is.

That is a nice Fleetwin, Wedgie. It would look cool sitting next to my old 14 Fastwin 🙂

                        quote jtohio43:

She idles well, runs decent in high throttle but I’m only getting 8 mph. I’ve seen videos & heard rumors that 16 mph should be expected.

Jeff, Possibility of an incorrect prop? If I’m reading the number right off Garry’s parts page it’s 276866, (8 x 8 from Garry’s prop chart), Marineengine.com has them new for $30 plus s+h, if that’s the problem. And a couple on ebay for a little less, w/free shipping.
